Speculation about motives aside, you have abandoned your original claim:
Other than the speeches he is claiming now, years after the fact, there is no evidence that would suggest that he would have voted against the AUMF.
The link I gave you is not "years after the fact." It is one month after the vote, and he is asked specifically about how he would have voted. He says specifically he would have voted with Durbin against the AUMF. Nothing ambiguous there. You claim there is no evidence and I gave you a link.
You still say:
"He position [SIC] was identical to that of Clinton (see her comments on the Senate floor before the vote.)"
No, she voted for AUMF, and he was against it. Furthermore, he said it was giving Bush carte blanche before the invasion. He understood what Bush could do, even before the invasion, which is something a number of people here are saying no one could have have possibly anticipated. Obama could and did.
